85 m/2 domestic extension in Esher. The client had a Thames Water drain that served several other houses located within the proposed extension so a big part of this job was to do a live diversion to remove this from the footprint of the building. This was completed, inspected, surveyed and approved by Thames Water meaning works could commence on the foundations. A soak away crate system was installed in the garden and reduce dig excavation for the floor slab was then completed. With limited space at this site this was the ideal job for our 2.5 tonne mini excavator and 1 tonne micro dumper. After the walls were built up to DPC works continued on the preparation of the floor slab. Internal drainage was installed and thickenings were excavated (using our 1 tonne micro digger) to support the internal walls. The type 1 sub-base was laid and compacted with sand then being laid on top as well as polythene. Steel reinforcing mesh was laid and tied in position ready to receive the concrete. Concrete was pumped into position and levelled to complete our works on site.
